My Hero Academia has a lot of interesting twists. Himiko Toga had a special experience when she drank the blood of Jin Bubaigawara, also known as Twice. She not only changed his appearance but also started using his powers. This created many duplicates of Twice on the Battlefield. But, there is also the fact that Toga is unable to use Shigaraki’s Quirk.
A new face of Toga was revealed in Season 5, Episode 21. She took the form of Ochaco Uraraka and used her Zero Gravity Quirk. She was able to levitate the members in the air, causing them to fall to the ground. It was a great stunt. But, that’s not all. Toga had to understand that there are certain conditions to take someone’s Quirk.
Toga can only take someone’s Quirk if she has drunk that person’s blood. But this is not happening with Shigaraki and others. Maybe their powers are different. Toga’s problem is that she cannot create duplicates of Shigaraki. Her ability is somewhat limited.
Many times, she tries but still fails. Toga’s job is not just about showing off. She has to understand the power of her blood. She cannot just change form. This becomes a challenge for her.
Toga’s mind is often in turmoil. She wonders if she will ever be able to acquire Shigaraki’s Quirk. This is a big question. There will be many more ups and downs in her journey. The road ahead will not be easy, but her passion will always remain alive.
In this way, every step is a discovery for Toga. Her attempts are sometimes successful and sometimes not. But amidst all this, her true nature never changes.

The power of Toga’s Quirk related to emotions: A unique story
Using someone’s Quirk is a special thing for Toga. She has to understand whose Quirk she is taking. This means she needs to know what the person’s Quirk is. Because of her attraction to Ochako, Toga already knew about Zero Gravity. So she had no problem. The second condition was a little more difficult. Toga must only use the Quirk of people she likes. Her passion for Ochako was very strong. That’s why she could use Zero Gravity.
There was a time when Toga was very worried about Jin. Hawks killed Jin during that war. This saddened Toga a lot. And because of his blood, she believed she could become like Jin. After drinking his blood, Toga noticed that she could create doubles in the form of Twice. These doubles could use her Quirk. This caused the number of Toga-Twice clones to increase exponentially, as every double became a double of herself as well.
Toga’s doubles, however, are doubles of her. They have Toga’s personality, not Jin’s. This means that Toga’s doubles also follow the rules of her Quirk. When Jin creates doubles, they are like the real person. They can also use her Quirk. But for Toga’s doubles, she has to feel deeply about that person. Simply put, Toga did not have as much affection for Dabi, Shigaraki and All For One as she did for Jin.
Toga has a different way of creating doubles. For her, love and affection are important. If she doesn’t feel true about someone, she can’t use their Quirk. It’s a special kind of emotion that is very important to Toga. She doesn’t see her doubles as just a tool, but she also lavishes love on them.
So, Toga must be careful about whose Quirk she is using. It’s not just a power, it’s more like a connection. Toga seems to understand this. She knows that true power comes from emotions, not just Quirks. Therefore, each of her doubles is a unique story tied to her heart.

Toga Shigaraki: The complicated relationship of love and power
If Toga could use Shigaraki’s Quirk, the villains would win very quickly. She thought it would be easy to duplicate Shigaraki and All For One, but they were unable to properly use their powers. Toga was devastated to learn this. She was disappointed to see how unaware her teammates were of her Quirk. If she could use her Quirk like Gin, she would have ended the fight in no time. There would be duplicates on the field that would burn everything to ashes.
In Season 7, Episode 17, Tsuyu had some thoughts about this as well. But Tsuyu didn’t understand why it was difficult for Toga. Even though Toga was still powerful, her attempts would never be as effective. She knew she couldn’t duplicate like Gin could. Because of this, Toga felt weak, making it easier for her teammates to identify her.
The restriction on Toga’s Quirk was the only reason she survived a bad situation. If somehow she fell in love with Dabi or Shigaraki and was able to use their Quirks, the heroes would have lost miserably. The thought of it would leave everyone breathless. All of this shows how special the relationship between Gin and Toga was, which makes their tragic end even more profound. In a situation like this, everyone understands how deeply love and power are connected.
Toga’s condition on the battlefield was creating difficulties for her. The limitations of her powers were mentally disturbing her. She felt lost. Her fighting ability never became what she wanted. In such a situation, she found herself standing at a crossroads where she had to take her steps carefully.
If everything had been different, the victory of the heroes might not have been so easy. Toga’s dream was different, but her reality held her back. Her journey took many turns, but ultimately it all depended on the strength within her. This relationship made the story even deeper and more complicated.
