Indeed, Jared Leto will star in the sequel to Disney’s Tron movie, titled “Tron: Ares.” The film begins filming in Vancouver in January 2024 and is planned for a 2025 release. Leto will Plays the role of a very complex AI program named Ares. Joachim Rønning is the film’s director and also stars Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, and Gillian Anderson also join. The new film takes Ares’ story from the digital world into the real world. It’s the first human encounter with an AI creature. It’s definitely an exciting development for fans of the Tron franchise!
The journey to “Tron: Ares” actually has many exciting events. Plans for a sequel were announced as “Tron: Legacy” was released in 2010, but the project stalled in 2015, only five years later. Jared Leto was signed on to star in the film, with Garth Davis initially attached to direct. However, Davis later gave up and was replaced by Joachim Rønning who is best known for directing “Pirates of the Caribbean: This new story will focus on Leto’s new character. This is definitely exciting news for fans of the Tron franchise!
