In a change from his past performances, David Corenswet’s role as Superman in the DC Universe (DCU) is getting a costume inspired directly from the pages of the comics. The most striking part of Corenswet’s Superman costume is the emblematic “S” symbol. It is related to the iconic design featured in DC Comics’ “Kingdom Come”. However, the film version retains the original red and gold colors. But it’s significantly different from the red-and-black look of the Kingdom Come series. A similar symbol was also possessed by Brandon Routh’s Superman in the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.

When compared to Henry Cavill’s performance in the DC Expanded Universe (DCEU), key differences are evident in Corenswet’s performance as Iron Man. The DCU’s spin-off of the Superman series has been shown to feature more vibrant colors.
