Channel 5 recently shared the first look of Hollyoaks star Claire Cooper in their upcoming period drama ““. Cooper’s avatar in the new drama will be a pivotal character that will set a new benchmark for her craft.

Claire Cooper, best known as Jacqui McQueen in Channel 4’s popular show Hollyoaks, will now be seen in a completely new avatar. “The Hardacres” is based on CL Skelton’s bestselling book series, which will take viewers on an exciting journey through 1890s Yorkshire.

The first look images show Cooper in the role of Mary Hardacres. In this portrayal, she is seen in gorgeous Victorian-era attire, which reflects the historicity and seriousness of her character.

Mary Hardacres lives a happy life with her husband Sam Hardacres, but their idyllic life changes after a tragic accident. After Sam has an accident at his dockland workplace, he becomes unemployed and his life begins to go through a period of trouble.

The drama stars Cooper alongside Julie Graham as his mother and Adam Little as their three children. The family decides to start a new business on the North Yorkshire coast in a bid to improve their status and gain a place in high society.
