New international audience interest has started building up on the production news of a new Bob the Builder animated film being developed at Amazon MGM Studios. The TV series, which started in the late 1990s in the UK, about Bob, the repairman, and construction expert has been gaining popularity all the way to date. The new film will continue the success of the franchise while giving fans a fresh look from the acclaimed creators.
It was first screened in 1999 and became an overnight hit in many countries, including the UK, which it was conceptualized in. This animated television series was originally aired as a classic stop-motion version, but it adapted the computer generated images and the recent re-recreation, “Bob the Builder: Mega Machines,” reflect what had to be done by changing in step with the times not just the appearance but also to take into account the new markets from around the world. Now aside from the previous age bracket, it now can address children.
Based on the information given, an upcoming film is under production by Amazon MGM Studios because the studio won a competitive process put on by Netflix and DreamWorks among many. Given this position, the future is going bright for Bob the Builder as there has been opening new opportunities for growth that has been created in the field, especially with regard to developing a new perspective which is entertaining and also meaningful to a great number of people.
The project will be produced by Jennifer Lopez under Nuyorican Pictures and the studio ShadowMachine. The movie features Anthony Ramos, who made his appearance in In the Heights and Hamilton, as a voice of Bob, and Jennifer Lopez has not given any statement about whether she will go to be a voice herself in the movie. That being said, her popularity as the most influential producer of entertainment adds value to the whole project that cannot be taken away.
Some of the expansions included in the new expansion of Mattel are a result from the success that was seen with the last year’s release of the Barbie movie. Now, as the company grows in size to produce films under its namesake brands of Matchbox and Cars, American Girl and Polly Pocket, every color and kind of stories will be found. The film for the new Bob the Builder is the Latino point of view in contrast with its origin story.
Even though there is no confirmed release date, lots of people predict that the movie may still see a theatrical release. Although it’s probably that it will be available through the Amazon Prime Video, what matters is the fact that Mattel is committed to the success and wider reach of this project, making a theatrical release quite probable.
Only time will tell, as no further information about the date of release and broadcast will be given. But at any rate, this new Bob the Builder movie will not only live up to the expectations set by the original series, but it may also provide new ways for the franchise to expand in the future, with a focus on reaching a more diverse audience with other perspectives in this world and age.
