The “Ahsoka” craze is yet to die down, but star Natasha Liu Bordizzo recently shared some disappointing news. Bordizzo, who played the powerful character of Sabine Wren in Season 1, has confirmed that “Ahsoka” Season 2 is unlikely to begin shooting until the summer of 2025. The announcement could come as a huge blow to millions of fans who expected a sequel as soon as possible after the thrilling cliffhangers at the end of Season 1.
At Dragon Con 2024, Bordizzo confirmed that she will not be attending the event next year, as she hopes to begin filming “Ahsoka” Season 2 by then. At this time, “Andor” Season 2 has already wrapped filming along with Disney+’s other Star Wars series like “The Mandalorian” and “Skeleton Crew“, but “Ahsoka” Season 2 is currently the only series that has not yet begun production.

Though the adventures of the Skeleton Crew and the Mandalorian and Grogu don’t tie directly into Ahsoka’s world, they may hint at the return of Thrawn, Hera Syndulla, and other major characters. Meanwhile, fans will have to wait a little longer for Ahsoka Season 2, but the new episodes of the Mandovers will surely make this journey interesting.
