In a conversation with ComicBook.com, Khary Payton shares his anticipation, stating, “I haven’t [met with James Gunn] yet, but I’m eagerly looking forward to it. We’re tossing around some ideas, and it promises to be an exhilarating journey. I’m genuinely thrilled for what lies ahead.”

The burgeoning DC Universe is poised to encompass a plethora of projects spanning various mediums, including film, television, video games, live-action adaptations, and animated features. Gunn himself has articulated the interconnectedness of these endeavors, emphasizing that actors lending their voices to animated characters may also portray them in live-action incarnations, should the narrative demand it.
