This version had a recognizable costume as per her comics, but recently released showed that Lady Deadpool’s design was quite different from what we see in the film.

Costume illustrator Joanne Bacallado has revealed early concept art of Lady Deadpool through her social media post, revealing how much the final design was changed for the film. Bacallado’s post told viewers how the original design of the costume worn by Blake Lively was quite different. This new reveal helps the audience understand how much hard work and creativity goes into the making of the film.

“Doing Deadpool variants in the costume team was such a gift as fans and artists. It was a time to have fun, explore and just be crazy. One of my favourites, that made it into the film, is Ladypool. We wanted to pay homage to the comic representations, but we applied, as we usual do, a sense of realism, studying every single element of the suit, back and forth. Her proportions are quite different from the male version we all know and love, so we embraced the curves and the sinuosity on her new design.”

This new glimpse of Lady Deadpool has generated curiosity and conversation among the audience and piqued their interest towards the art and design of the film. The post also highlights how the filmmakers have come up with a new and exciting look while retaining the soul of the original comics that have won over the audience.
